A personalized tool to help
you and your HCP assess
your potential risk

CDPATH combines an analysis of your blood’s biomarkers for Crohn's disease and your genetic information with your healthcare provider's (HCP’s) evaluation of your disease.

CDPATH helps estimate the likelihood that you're at low, medium, or high risk for developing serious Crohn's disease-related complications* within 3 years.

*CDPATH defines serious complications as any fistulas or strictures in your bowels or any surgery in your bowels other than the area in or around the anus.

5 STEPS TO YOUR CDPATH RESULTS

Step 1

See if you are eligible for CDPATH and order the CDPATH test kit.

If your HCP has already confirmed your eligibility and provided you with the required materials, continue to Step 2.

Step 2

Take your CDPATH test kit to your next appointment with your HCP.

If you and your HCP agree that CDPATH is right for you, your HCP must complete the paperwork that is included in the CDPATH test kit.

Step 3

Determine where you will have your blood drawn and schedule an appointment if required. Note: Fasting is NOT required before the blood draw.

Takeda has made arrangements to cover blood draw costs at participating locations.

Find a Blood Draw Location

Alternatively, if you prefer to have your blood drawn at home, mobile phlebotomy services may be available at no cost to you. Please call 1-877-556-8766 to see if mobile phlebotomy is available in your area.

Step 4

You must take the kit and the paperwork completed by your HCP to your blood draw appointment so your test can be properly processed.

Step 5

Make an appointment with your HCP to review your CDPATH results. (Your HCP should get your CDPATH results about 7 business days after the lab receives your blood for processing.)

CDPATH results are prognostic but not a conclusion or guarantee. You and your HCP should not rely solely on the risk predictions from CDPATH to make a clinical diagnosis or treatment decision.

Your risk profile at a glance

After your blood is drawn, it goes to a lab for processing. Your HCP should receive your results about 7 business days after your sample arrives at the lab to be processed. CDPATH results include a clear and straightforward graph to show your personal risk profile. This information can help you and your HCP better understand your Crohn’s disease and have more informed conversations about how to manage it proactively.
